Only the countries with highly-developed travel industries have the privilege of actively fostering ecotourism. Vivid and bright Thailand, which has been gaining a lot of traction popularity-wise lately, is definitely among these countries. Travel business representatives from the world’s top tourist destinations were presented the philosophy of the Thai way of life at the Thailand Travel Mart (TTM+) exhibition.
Skiathos, covered with lush olive trees and century-old pines, is the smallest inhabited island of the Northern Sporades Archipelago; yet it is quite densely populated because of steep rocks and many wonderful beaches. According to travel search engine Kayak, during the first week of February the number of search queries regarding the flights to the host city of 2014 Olympics has grown 15% compared to the first week of January. Despite the increasingly high demand, it is currently possible to buy a one-way ticket from Moscow to Sochi for 3,000 rubles ($85). Kayak analysts project the prices to drop even more in a few days. It is also possible to find a vacant room for the coming weekend at an affordable price.
The number of Russian tourists coming to Tunisia is growing by the year. The majority of them are only interested in local beaches, but the country can offer tourists plenty of other recreational activities. At the end of December Tunisia’s tourism office gave Moscow journalists an opportunity to try these activities for themselves (PHOTOS).

TRN magazine set out to explore the current market situation, while also getting expert opinion on the demand for the car tourism product, its peculiarities and the prospects for developing the segment.
According Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic, immediate attention is being paid to fostering tourism in the country. Local authorities have launched two major investment projects – ‘Veduchi’ and ‘Kezenoy-am’. In addition to that, the Chechen tourism committee is to hold a publicity event for travel agencies in the middle of November.
