What will MITT 2014 Offer to Professionals?
21st Moscow International Exhibition MITT, one of the five largest travel forums in the world, will take place from March 19 to March 22 at Expocentre. Its exhibition halls will welcome more than 1,800 exhibitors from 85 countries. Fourteen countries and regions will participate in MITT for the first time. Among them are Algeria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, Laos, Peru, Iceland, Balearic and Canary Islands, the Azores and Micronesia Archipelago.
This time the partner country of the exhibition is Italy. The following regions will hold their own presentations at the exhibition: Emilia-Romagna (the most popular one among Russian tourists), Apulia, Lazio, Sicily and Rome. Association ‘The Most beautiful Villages in Italy’ will show the guests of the exhibition the treasure trove of art and historical heritage of its member villages.
The partner region of the exhibition is Altay Krai.
Meetings Industry is the topic of the year at MITT 2014. A special MICE-department will be set up at the exhibition, where corporate representatives will be able to meet specialists in organization of business meetings and trips, conferences and presentations, incentive events and other events in Russia and worldwide.
Russian Meetings Industry Forum will also be devoted to the MICE industry. It will be aimed at improving the congress and convention services of Russia. Russian and foreign experts will participate in the event, and they will speak on the basic notions of the Meetings Industry, on the creative approach to business, on attracting funds and return on investments, and they will also cover the main aspects of cooperating with a professional service agent.
The already traditional 6th Moscow International Travel Business Summit will be held at the exhibition, and it will be devoted to the following topic – ‘Travel business under the siege of Internet booking: how to capitalize on the situation’. The event will touch on the topical market issues: the rise in the number of individual bookings, how to correctly sell travel services on the Internet, dynamic tour packaging on the Internet – the technology of profitable sales, and what tour operators can learn from online travel agencies. The speakers at the summit will be General Director of DSBW tour operator Karen Goncharov, Biletix.ru General Director Alexander Sizintsev, Head of the commercial department for Central, Eastern and Southern Europe of Traveltainment - The Amadeus Leisure Group Valentin Vedyakin, and also spokesmen of the portal Excursiopedia.co
On March 21 the seminar ‘Effective marketing tools for hotels. How to work with clients correctly. Cross and additional sales techniques’ will take place.
Professionals will get a great deal of useful advice on how to properly conduct business and be successful. General Director of Groupon Russia Vadim Fedorov will give a speech on effective means of promotion on the Internet, filling hotel rooms during the off-season, attracting clients without spending money on advertising, and applying the state-of-the-art Internet technologies for selling tourism products.
Another event is Moscow International Convention on Health and Medical Tourism. The speakers will be representatives from various countries of the world, heads of international departments of large hospitals, distinguished doctors, and directors of international insurance development departments.
In 2014 the ‘Medical tourism’ section will feature about 100 companies from across 20 countries of the world. Also, a special section of the exhibition will be devoted to Information technologies in tourism.
