The key hurdle facing Russia’s travel industry today is, without a doubt, the lack of information on holiday offers in the domestic market. Poor awareness of our homeland’s beauty and richness, scarceness of information regarding tours and accommodation and outdated prices all come together to put a damper on domestic tourism growth.
Only the countries with highly-developed travel industries have the privilege of actively fostering ecotourism. Vivid and bright Thailand, which has been gaining a lot of traction popularity-wise lately, is definitely among these countries. Travel business representatives from the world’s top tourist destinations were presented the philosophy of the Thai way of life at the Thailand Travel Mart (TTM+) exhibition.

Inbound tourist flow rose 33% as compared to 2012. This time around, Russians bought more mid-range tours and fewer expensive ones.
