The Opening of ‘Intourmarket 2014’ Fair in Moscow
Оn March 15, International Travel Fair ‘Intourmarket (ITM) 2014’ has started in Moscow. In his opening speech, Head of Rostourism Alexandr Radkov read a message to the participants and guests of the fair from Olga Golodets, the deputy prime minister for social affairs of the Russian Federation.

The tourist flow is expected to rise 4.5-5% this year. According to Mr. Rifai, 54 million foreigners came to Russia in 2013, making our country fifth in the world in this category. Also, we are 8th in the world when it comes to people who came here for tourism purposes (30 million).
Egypt’s Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou expressed his gratitude to Russia for its loyalty and help during his country’s tougher times.
“Even during the last crisis period, Russian tourist flow did not dwindle – 2.5 million Russian tourists came to Egypt,” he said.
Sergei Shpilko, head of Moscomtourism, invited the fair’s participants for a stroll around the sunny streets of Moscow and for a visit to one of the city’s 400 museums.
This year 148 countries and regions of the world are participating in the fair, some of them (Australia and Maldives) – for the first time. The diversity of the Russian tourism product is represented in the expositions of the Russian regions and domestic tourism operators.
Representatives of Volga Federal District have formed a common brand ‘Great Volga’ and will share a stand, and as for Siberia and the Far East, their brand will be called ‘East Ring of Russia’.
It is expected that 80 thousand people will visit ‘Intourmarket’ during 4 days.
