On June 26, a presentation tour Russian Tourism Road Show “Successful Russia” took place in Beijing; it was organized by the Federal Office for Tourism.
Russian tourist flow to Israel is currently one of the fastest-growing in the Jewish country. Russians are Israel’s second most active visitors after Americans.
The forum took place on June 16-17 in a new hotel Radisson Rosa Khutor. The event was devoted to discussing the ‘Role of mega-events in the sustainable development of tourism’.

Currently, international tourism takes up 29% of the global services export. Tourism places fifth among the global export industries, coming in after the energy, chemical, food and automotive industries. However, for many developing countries tourism is the most important industry.

First visitors are expected to come on Victory Day, which is going to be celebrated on quite a great scale here this year, and then more tourists are expected at the celebration of Navy Day and at various festivals.
Situation is complicated with the Crimean destination. On the one hand, hotels and health resorts of the peninsula are ready for tourists, and Russian tourists themselves are ready and willing to go to Crimea. The only problem – the issue of carriage remains unresolved. Most Russians used to travel to Crimea by train, but now many fear using railroads due to the volatile situation in Ukraine. Russian authorities are hard at work trying to set up some safe and cheap way by which to transport tourists. The success of the tourist season in Crimea hinges on how fast this way will be found.
