More than 3,000 charter flights will be organized between Russia and Thailand during the coming winter season of 2014–15.
Only the countries with highly-developed travel industries have the privilege of actively fostering ecotourism. Vivid and bright Thailand, which has been gaining a lot of traction popularity-wise lately, is definitely among these countries. Travel business representatives from the world’s top tourist destinations were presented the philosophy of the Thai way of life at the Thailand Travel Mart (TTM+) exhibition.
“During the cleaning program, organized and supervised by the National Council for Peace and Order, things that hindered movement were removed from the beach, such as food kiosks, massage huts, and other illegal kiosks,” said CEO of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Thawatchai Arunyik. “Now each guest of the beach will be able to enjoy it in its pristine condition.”
Forecasts say that this year the country will be visited by almost the same number of tourists as the year before, which is 20-26 million people. Russian tourist flow to the country in particular is predicted to experience the growth of up to 10%.
Currently, international tourism takes up 29% of the global services export. Tourism places fifth among the global export industries, coming in after the energy, chemical, food and automotive industries. However, for many developing countries tourism is the most important industry.

Travel Russian News magazine and Superjob.ru are ready to present the results of another joint research aimed at determining the attitude of Russians to a wide-spread tour operator service – early booking, and also at finding out which countries are often booked in advance.
From 30% to 80% of tourists who bought tours for the New Year holidays merged the holidays with the following weekends – December 30 and 31, as well as January 9 and 10. This means that their holidays will now last for 12-14 days on average. TRN magazine got this information from tour operators that largely benefitted from the government’s order “On moving holidays in 2014”.
