Demand for excursion tours to Europe is expected to drop 25.62% in April. Such is the forecast compiled by DSBW’s analysts based on the Excursion Tour Index EXDEX for March of 2014. According to the experts’ findings, the number of search queries for excursion tours to Europe in various online booking systems will amount to 20,172 in April, as opposed to 27,121 in this year’s March.
According to the tourism department of the Spanish embassy, the process of issuing visas to Russian tourists is going on at the usual rate. This March the number of the issued visas grew 12% as compared to the same period last year.
Its proposals are to be reviewed by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union. In case they approve the proposals, the latter will take effect next year. Tourist flow is expected to grow 40-60% thanks to the streamlined visa regime for Schengen countries.
